I designed and printed a collapsible lightsaber as a personal project.

Through this, I gained experience in Autodesk’s Fusion360. I used various references and developed several skills within Fusion360 to model the hilt. The collapsible blade took extensive prototyping and furthered the connection between theoretical modeling and actual printing. Similarly, I learned the meaning of practical fabrication, as the model wouldn’t fit the 3D printer’s size constraints.
