Over the summer of 2022 and 2023, I participated in the 4-week Hawken FABPLAY Institute, where educators from various schools and states learn to develop and implement innovative strategies for teaching, design maker-based curricula, complete projects, and familiarize themselves with machinery and programs. As an intern, I actively collaborated with these educators to fabricate t-shirts, design and print stickers, and help them to learn this machinery. It’s a valuable, experience and it’s always great getting to know such a diverse group of teachers and help them learn skills and bring ideas to life.
