Robotics LOGO

Before joining the Robotics team, I was contacted asking to mockup some logos for stickers and team apparel. The initial design went through much revision and became an incredible opportunity for learning digital/graphic design as well as the fabrication of stickers and clothing.

First Edition

  • Lacked individuality

  • As my first logo for another club, I based it on other robotics logos

  • Sold at a fundraiser, but lacked attraction from students outside the club

Second Edition Concept

  • A huge improvement

  • The club liked this logo a lot more

  • Still needed to be finished

Second Edition mockUp

  • Made in procreate

  • Needed to be polished

  • A bit to complex for marketing, apparel, etc

Second Edition

  • Made in Adobe Illustrator

  • Lots better than the last workup

  • Longest used design, many stickers were made with this logo

  • Some minor technical issues when viewed up close

Second Edition Face-lift (Final Design)

  • Cleaned up some small issues

  • Fixed the absolutely broken wrist (as pointed out by many of my peers)

  • Changed highlights

Apparel

  • Simple color palette for manufacturing

  • Sharpened lines

Drone Flag

  • Made as part of a course oriented around drones

  • A group of friends and I printed and pieced together a flag of the logo.

  • Prototyped with a water bottle as an adjustable counterweight

  • Flown at school events to promote the club.

  • Took lots of trial and error to ensure it was light enough, flew in the wind, and didn’t drag down the drone
